Agape Women

The group works on various handicrafts throughout the year: quilts, blankets, aprons and other crafts that are given to various charitable organizations in the Salt Lake Valley.  They make items such as blankets and Christmas stockings for Issei and Nisei church members and shut-ins, and hats for the homeless.  This group also hosts the Nikkei Senior Center luncheon each February, preparing the food and program for senior luncheon guests.  The Agape Women contribute many hours in food preparation – sushi, manju and other Japanese delicacies – for Nihon Matsuri and Aki Matsuri. The Agape Women provide coffee and treats for all to enjoy after worship service every Sunday. (more...)
